Jack Wolfskin Antarctica Dome Tent
The Antartica Dome Expedition Tent has been developed together with polar explorer Arved Fuchs, specifically for use in extreme conditions. The dome design remains completely stable even in a snowstorm. The tent sleeps three people in comfort.
This expedition dome tent sleeps three people, has two entrances and will protect you in harsh conditions, even withstanding snow loading and heavy, persistent rain thanks to the all round protective storm flaps. The dome design provides good wind stability, optimum use of internal space and simple pitching. Short vertical poles at the corners of the tent enhance this, improving overall stability. The inner tent and flysheet combination provides the most protection, made from a high-tenacity silicone coated ripstop nylon which is waterproof and extremely durable. The flysheet can also be pitched separately. There are five closable air vents and a large roof vent, all equipped with mosquito mesh screens, for extra ventilation when you need it. A spacious vestibule provides plenty of space to stow your equipment, with an additional pole section that allows you to rig it out. The D shaped entrance is raised up from the ground to keep out snow, plus there is a second entrance with direct access to the inner tent. The tent features twelve internal storage pockets, a washing line net and a removable mesh gear storage unit, for maximum storage space. Reflectors on all of the zip tabs and guying points help to keep the tent visible to others in low-light conditions.
