Constructed using recycled materials, the Skei Trail Jacket is a sustainable alternative that has a dramatically lower carbon footprint than similar jackets. Equipped with TEXAPORE ECOSPHERE, a technology that has been developed in-house by Jack Wolfskin, this will provide multiple benefits to you. This is made from completely recycled materials like plastic bottles, and is three times as sustainable and three times as strong as previous technologies. The technology will provide you with complete waterproofing. With a jacket that is intended to protect you from the cold, it's also important that no water or moisture is able to enter from the outside. The material is designed to stop this from happening, ensuring that no moisture is able to penetrate through and cause you any discomfort. To further enhance the protection, the TEXAPORE material will keep you feeling comfortable, with the wind being deflected away from the jacket to keep you in a warm and cosy environment. The jacket will however allow air to enter and exit, which will mean that sweat particles can escape out. So that you don't freeze, Texapore materials are designed so that sweat is quickly wicked away even when you step up your level of activity. The full zip down the front of the jacket is extremely easy to adjust and manipulate for a personalised fit. This can be adjusted to allow more or less air in and out should your temperature feel uncomfortable. A large flap covering the front zip will also act as a protective layer, shielding any exposed spots on the zip from windchill. Underneath the arms, there are zippers which can be opened easily to allow a constant flow of air in and out of the jacket. This will give you the chance to add an extra layer of warmth, perfect for extremely cold days. There is an adjustable and removable hood which will provide you with full coverage for shelter in rainfall. This can be adjusted for a personalised fit with toggles, which will also work to seal in heat. Similarly, the hem of the jacket has an adjustable cord, which will mean that you will be able to find a personalised fit around the waist. The cuffs have velcro straps, which can be easily adjusted to seal in heat around the arms. These can be loosened to encourage more air to enter and exit, should you feel too warm. Side pockets will give you a secure space to carry small items, or an area to keep your hands feeling warm and comfortable. Flat-lying seams within the jacket will completely remove the risk of irritation from occurring by rubbing and chafing. The soft inner of the jacket will also feel comfortable against the skin. If you feel like you don't need the jacket anymore on a warmer day, it is easily packed away into a backpack. Reflective details in the jacket will improve your safety and visibility during night time activity.
