Performance Mesh Upper

Developed to provide lightweight, breathable support, the Keen Explore Vent Walking Shoes have been constructed using a performance mesh upper. The lightweight and supportive mesh swathe the foot in breathable comfort to ensure you remain cool and comfortable at all times. The mesh allows cool air to flow throughout the upper whilst, at the same time allowing hot humid air to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. This creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in so you can go further for longer. As well as this, lightweight overlays also feature on the upper to provide an abundance of support; the overlays ensure structure and support whilst also providing added durability to keep your feet protected on rocky terrain. Completing the upper is a KonnectFit heel-capture system which works with the lacing system to provide a lock-in feel. These two technologies work in tandem to lock down the midfoot and heel to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

EVA Midsole

Constructed using a EVA midsole, the Explore Vent provides comfortable cushioning that keeps you going all day long. The dual-density EVA provides significant cushioning and comfort to help improve the level of your performance so you can stay at your optimum level, for longer. Holding excellent cushioning abilities, the midsole absorbs shocks as you move throughout the gait cycle providing resilient cushioning and reducing the risks of potential injury. A removable PU footbed also exists underfoot to provide added cushioning and comfort. The insole sits comfortably under the foot and can be easily removed if you'd prefer not to use it. With built-in arch support, the insole cradles the heel and reduced impacts to ensure complete comfort as you strike down. Completing the midsole is a stability shank which delivers lightweight support and reduces the chance of ankle rolling or injury by providing a bit more stability to the foot whilst on of rough terrain.

Keen.All Terrain Outsole

Providing ultimate, all-around protection, the Explore Vent features an Keen.all-terrain rubber outsole. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. It is also highly durable meaning no matter what you throw at it, the Explore Vent will perform time and time again. This high traction rubber promotes grip on a multitude of surfaces while delivering the durability you need to go the distance. Completing the outsole are 4mm multi-directional lugs which provide meaningful traction on tough terrain. The lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
