Waterproof Leather Upper

Developed to provide durability and breathability, the Wild Sky has been constructed using a waterproof leather and performance mesh upper. The waterproof leather offers a wide range of protection to help you gain the maximum from your footwear. The tough leather upper ensures long-lasting comfort yet provides ample protection from loose debris and rocks. The durable nature of the leather minimises the risks of wear and tear leaving you with a boot you can truly rely on. Furthermore, the lightweight and supportive mesh swathes the foot in breathable comfort to ensure you remain cool and comfortable at all times. The mesh allows cool air to flow throughout the upper whilst, at the same time allowing hot humid air to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. This creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in so you can go further for longer. Keen Dry technology is also incorporated into the upper to provide resistance against sweat and moisture which is inevitable during exercise. The breathable membrane keeps your feet cool, dry and comfortable as it wicks away the sweat and moisture so you can focus on your performance without discomfort or distraction. The waterproof nature of KeenDry keeps you protected when the weather takes a turn for the worst. Completing the upper is a KonnectFit heel-capture system which works with the lacing system to provide a lock-in feel. These two technologies work in tandem to lock down the midfoot and heel to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

PU Midsole

The midsole of the Keen Wild Sky Waterproof Walking Boots has been constructed using a PU midsole that delivers resilient cushioning for long-lasting wear. The PU midsole feels soft underfoot for increased comfort on expeditions; the cushioning provides ample support to spare your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. The midsole ensures you can go further for longer by inundating shocks and protecting your feet when striking down and also disperses the shocks to propel you forward. A removable PU footbed also exists underfoot to provide added cushioning and comfort. The insole sits comfortably under the foot and can be easily removed if you'd prefer not to use it. With built-in arch support, the insole cradles the heel and reduced impacts to ensure complete comfort as you strike down. Completing the midsole is a full-length nylon board-lasted construction which provides added stability.

Keen.All Terrain Outsole

Providing ultimate, all-around protection, the Wild Sky Mid features an Keen.all-terrain rubber outsole. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. It is also highly durable meaning no matter what you throw at it, the Wild Sky will perform time and time again. This high traction rubber promotes grip on a multitude of surfaces while delivering the durability you need to go the distance. Completing the outsole are 5mm multi-directional lugs which provide meaningful traction on tough terrain. The lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
