EVA And Breathable Mesh Upper

The upper construction of the Helios III incorporated EVA foam with a breathable mesh that encases each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air. An external high-frequency skeleton is combined to the mesh to provide lightweight structural integrity, keeping your foot secure within the shoes.

In addition, supporting the upper is microfibre reinforcements that are within the mesh which promotes anti-abrasion properties to diminish rocks and roots from damaging the material. This construction also prevents debris from entering the shoes, keeping you comfortable at all times. Inside the shoes features a non-slip mesh lining that prevents in shoe slipping during intense running.

Furthermore, The Helios III features a 4mm Ortholite Mountain Ergonomic footbed that is extremely breathable for a cooler foot. The unique open cell structure creates a moisture management system that wicks sweat and dries incredibly fast, while offering long-term cushioning. The insole will retain over 95% of its thickness over time and won't flatten out. The Helios 2.0 from La Sportiva Sports an Injection Moulded MEMlex EVA midsole which differs from the standard compression moulded EVA midsoles for a high degree of cushioning and a better elasticity of the compound. These features assist the propulsion phase of the gait cycle, making these shoes ideal for use on offroad trails. Furthermore, EVA injected midsoles drastically reduce the squash effect of the EVA over time, allowing the compound to maintain the same characteristics and a high performance for its entire duration.

FriXion XT Outsole

Gripping the ground with ease, the outsole section engages a dual density sole. In the La Sportiva Helios, you can expect a full-length FriXion XT compound and the VA Wave tread pattern. These improve the shoe's flexibility, grip, and traction on varied trail surfaces.
