The TxS is a technical hiking and backpacking boot ideal for use on via Ferrata and technical approach routes on hard and rocky terrain, even with heavy backpacks. Comfortable, lightweight, waterproof and breathable.
Engineered using an abrasion-resistant mesh upper, the TxS allows cool air to circulate whilst at the same time, removing unwanted warm air to help regulate temperature and create a perfect microclimate. The mesh is also abrasion-resistant to increase durability and stand up to trail running conditions. The upper also incorporates a GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane to ensure lasting waterproof performance and breathability. This non-insulated design allows moisture to stay out while allowing perspiration to escape, making it perfect for those seeking exceptional climate comfort and heat management. Designed for hikers carrying heavy loads, this boot includes a protective rubber rand and toe cap for enhanced durability and defence against trail hazards. Its 3D Flex System ensures precision and freedom of movement with complete safety, while the STB Control System offers optimal support and stability on tricky terrains. Completing the upper is a differentiated lacing system with metal hooks that lock the midfoot for a secure and stable fit.
Utilising an injection moulded EVA midsole which differs from the standard compression moulded EVA midsoles, the TxS offers a high degree of cushioning and shock absorption. This design helps move you forward, making these boots perfect for hitting those off-road trails. Plus, the injected EVA retains its shape over time. This means the material keeps its top-notch qualities and performance from start to finish.
The outsole features a Vibram MegaGrip compound, complete with differentiated lugs and an impact brake system. This design enhances shock absorption and ensures a strong grip across various terrains. You'll also benefit from the outsole's superior grip and rugged durability. It provides an optimal balance of stability and flexibility, allowing you to effectively use ground feedback to stabilise and secure your next move.
