Water-Repellent High-Tenacity Nylon Upper
This upper is designed to withstand the elements. It is crafted from ultra-durable nubuck leather for protection against scuffs and scrapes out on the trail, whilst the abrasion-resistant fabric inserts allow for greater flexibility A gusseted tongue keeps debris out of the boot so you can keep going without distractions. A built-in GORE-TEX Performance Comfort lining blocks out weather ingress whilst remaining breathable, preventing moisture from building up internally. A traditional lacing system with reinforced eyelets allows you to find a secure fit, whilst the 3D Flex System Evo directional joint with shaped malleolus and abrasion resistance allows better control, support and perfect mobility of the ankle. The shape is Ergonomic: enveloping and precise with TPU shells integrated into the toe and heel to reinforce the uppers for greater protection.
EVA Foam Midsole
Working alongside the upper in harmony, the soft midsole provides underfoot comfort. The EVA midsole differs from the standard compression-moulded EVA midsoles by providing a high degree of cushioning and better elasticity of the fabric. Despite being extremely lightweight, the midsole serves you with both protection and cushioning, which will keep you going for longer. Towards the bottom of the midsole, the EVA is densely packed into the midsole, which will absorb all shocks and heavy impacts instantly and effectively. The shoes also have a PU foam inner lining to enhance your comfort. The midsole is semi-cramponable in case of ice or snow.
Vibram Spring Lug Rubber Outsole
To supply you with a great pair of outdoor boots, the Aequillibrium utilise a Spring Lug Tech rubber outsole. The outsoles are made of a rubber shell for the utmost protection and significant resistance to scratches and wear. This compound enhances grip and traction on an array of surfaces and uses a low-density polyurethane content, which further maximises comfort, and renders the sole highly adaptable to uneven terrain. The outsole also uses Impact Brake System Lugs for great adaptability to hard rock surfaces, and it offers real advantages during racing by reducing negative ground impact. The unique position of the lugs allows as many of them as possible to come into contact with the ground for maximum impact absorption.
