La Sportiva Prodigio 2 Men's Trail Running Shoes

A versatile all-rounder ready for anything from easy-going trail runs to gruelling endurance races, the Prodigio 2 trail running shoe delivers sure-footed, powerful performance on all kinds of terrain.

High Tenacity Mesh Upper

The Prodigio 2 features a high-tenacity mesh upper, a highly durable and breathable material which keeps feet feeling fresh and protected. The mesh encourages cool air to circulate your feet, preventing overheating and keeping them fresh during tough adventures. The material sits comfortably against your feet for an irritation-free fit, while also protecting itself from knocks and scrapes on the trail for a longer-lasting pair of shoes. Moisture-wicking properties keep feet dry from sweat and moisture when things become a bit more intense. An ergonomic wrapping system cradles your foot and keeps the shoe firmly in place for an outstanding fit when tackling uneven terrain. A soft tongue and cushioned collar keep feet well-contained and supported on long journeys, whilst a traditional lacing system ensures a snug fit that secures the midfoot, all working together to prevent in-shoe slipping.

Nitrogen-Injected XFlow Midsole

The Prodigio 2 features an all-new nitrogen-injected XFlow midsole that provides fluidity, stability and flexibility. The foam has been designed, engineered and tested to guarantee a higher level of performance for even the most demanding trail runners. Injecting nitrogen into the foam expands the midsole, providing more underfoot cushioning and exceptionally comfortable landings. Not only this, but it improves forward propulsion, better absorbs impact, reduces joint stress, injury risk and discomfort. The force of each impact with the ground is absorbed and then expelled through your next step, providing an added boost while allowing you to run further and faster. This compound is combined with an XFlow 4mm supercritical insole to add even more cushioning and provide an extra layer of shock absorption.

FriXion Red Outsole

The Frixion Red outsole provides grip and traction on multiple surfaces. This will guarantee supreme hold on uneven ground, even in wet conditions. The outsole rubber is also extremely durable, improving the longevity and functionality, while delivering a perfect combination of grip, long-lasting wear and shock absorption. The 4mm lugs dig into wet ground, anchoring feet in place, providing you with confidence when the ground becomes more uncertain.
