La Sportiva Akasha II Women's Trail Running Shoes

A technical, aesthetic redesign of the Akasha, the second iteration of this La Sportiva trail shoe is dedicated to endurance competitions. It's designed for long-distance trails, ultra-marathons, ultra-trails and useful on long training days.

Breathable AirMesh Upper

The upper of the Akasha II is constructed from a breathable air mesh that works endlessly to allow air to fully permeate the entire upper. The mesh provides a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air that resides during high-intensity activities. In addition, the upper features a PU leather overlay system at the rear which extends and combines with the laces to enhance fit, offer added durability and provide a locked-in fit. The Akasha II features front reinforcements called Dynamic ProTechTion which provides protection and structure following the foot movement in a dynamic way without constriction or distractions. The soft slip-on upper offers a tight but non-restrictive fit and super breathability with a slipper sock construction to avoid compression points and to provide maximum comfort. Lastly, a non-slip mesh lining enhances moisture management and breathability, as well as, prevents any in-shoe slipping.

Injection Moulded EVA Midsole

La Sportiva us an Injection Moulded EVA midsole which differs from the standard compression moulded EVA midsoles for a high degree of cushioning and a better elasticity of the compound. These features assist the propulsion phase of the gait cycle, making these shoes ideal for use on offroad trails. Furthermore, EVA injected midsoles drastically reduce the squash effect of the EVA over time, allowing the compound to maintain the same characteristics and high performance for its entire duration. A cushion platform footbed enhances in-shoe and next to foot comfort as it provides extra shock absorption.

FriXion Red Outsole

Gripping the ground with ease, the outsole section engages a dual-density sole. In the La Sportiva Akasha II, you can expect a full-length FriXion Red dual-compound which improves the shoe's flexibility, grip, and traction on varied trail surfaces. It also incorporates the exclusive trail rocker solution to promote the natural movement of the foot during running. Iconic to La Sportiva the Impact Brake System uses a unique lug positioning to absorb negative impact for long-lasting comfort and provides you with control on uphill and downhill trails.
