Take down the trails with La Sportiva's Helios 2.0 trail running shoe. The upper medial and lateral side are formed with a highly breathable and abrasion resistant hydrain air mesh upper. This allows airflow to the interior to keep the foot cool. It also provides interior sweat-wicking capabilities to keep the foot dry through the transition. At the forefoot is a padded tongue which is structured with Poly Grid technology for superior ventilation as well as enhanced comfort.
Supporting the upper is a mesh shielding which promotes anti-abrasion properties to diminish rocks and roots from damaging the material. This coincides with the synthetic EVA overlays to engage a stabilised fit. Full torsion is provided with maximum flexibility whilst maintaining its shape. Extra protection is given with an integrated toe and heel inserts made from protective microfibre. This allows a smooth impact to protect the achilles through the gait cycle.
The midsole consists of MorphoDynamic technology with injected EVA that allows the shoe to adapt to the terrain. It offers a high degree of cushioning to the underfoot, and reduces the amount of pressure placed upon the platform as well as providing a better elasticity of the compound. These features assist a soft stride to propel you through the transition for optimal cushioning and supporting torsion rigidity and edging capability on rocky, arduous terrain.
Gripping the ground with ease, the outsole section engages a dual density sole. In the La Sportiva Helios, you can expect a full-length FriXion XT compound and the VA Wave tread pattern. These improve the shoe's flexibility, grip, and traction on varied trail surfaces. It also incorporates a grippy rear zone to promote the push in climb and hold downhill, shock absorbing and long lasting rear. The rear is constriction-free with the flex-zone allowing natural movement of the foot.
