Mammut Taiss Pro Belay Hooded Men's Jacket
A fully equipped down jacket for sub-zero belays, bivouacs and ski descents designed to wear over your hardshell. DRY DOWN insulation provides high-level warmth even when wet.
Constructed from an Ultra-lightweight 10D Pertex Quantum Pro material with PFC-free DWR coating, the Taiss Pro Belay Jacket provides reliable weather protection. The DWR finish helps to keep you dry in light rain or snow showers, while the added Pertex Diamond Fuse technology offers superior abrasion resistance, water resistance and durability.
Keeping you nice and toasty on those wintery climbs is the 850 fill power Down in a boxwall chamber construction. This construction minimises cold spots and maximises space for down to loft, trapping heat effortlessly to create a barrier of warmth against the skin. The jacket uses synthetic, high-loft fill in the forearms, shoulders and front collar, which also retains heat even when wet.
Enhancing weather protection, Mammut includes a helmet-compatible hood with a one-point adjustment system for a closer fit that keeps the elements away from your face for clear vision throughout use. An internal neck gaiter has also been added to prevent heat from escaping, while a 2-way YKK VISLON centre front zipper with easy-repair zipper slider helps with temperature control, zipped up traps heat and when down allows cool air to flow. A snap button on the storm flap enables you to half-zip the jacket for harness access on the move.
For safe storage of your items, the jacket includes two climbing harness-compatible front pockets, one chest pocket, all with YKK VISLON zippers. Two internal Powermesh pockets have been included, perfect for small items such as keys, wallets or phones.
Providing a close and comfortable fit that can be easily adjusted, the Taiss Pro Belay has a 2-point adjustable hem with higher-mounted cord tunnel seals. All while stretch cuffs with a fleece lining prevent cold winds from entering the jacket.
