GORE-TEX Upper

Developed to provide protection and durability, the Mammut Kento GORE-TEX Walking Shoes have been constructed using a GORE-TEX upper. The GORE-TEX upper ensures the shoes are durably waterproof combined with optimised breathability offering enduring weather protection. Water stays on the outside while perspiration can easily escape from the inside, thanks to their non-insulated construction they are the ideal solution for people who value outstanding climate comfort and heat release. The upper boasts extreme comfort thanks to the soft leather which also works to provide durability and protection on tough terrain. The leather upper keeps the feet protected from debris and sharp objects as well as minimising the risks of wear and tear. A pre shaped tongue sits comfortably against the skin to reduce the risks of chafing and irritation whilst a raised rubber rand works to protect the feet from knocks and scrapes. Completing the upper is a 2 zone lacing system which can be adjusted to person and to situation. The lacing system ensure a locked down fit so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

Memo Foam Midsole

Constructed using a memo foam midsole, the Kento Walking Shoes keep you comfortable mile after mile. The soft foam spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces by cushioning your feet on uneven terrain. As well as this, Memo foam also provides an individual fit as well as cushioning for the feet at the instep, shin and ankle giving you a plush feel. A soft flex zone also feature within the midsole to support the anatomical shape of the foot and encourages a natural rolling motion; this reduces strain places upon the feet and allows for fluid motion. Completing the midsole is motion control which prevents twisitng within the shoe whilst still allowing for freedom of movement. The control system prevents the foot from twisiting too much and therefore significantly reduces the risks of injury.

Vibram Rubber Outsole

Constructed using Vibram Hexa Tech, the Kento GORE-TEX Walking Shoes provides extreme grip and traction for all surface wear. This high-performance rubber compound gifts you with an unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces, rugged longevity and optimal ground adaptability. The Vibram rubber is built for extremely slippery terrain as it can form a solid bond with the ground to anchor you in place. Despite facing abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up against this, deflecting the blows and retaining a strong shape and structure. The strategically placed lugs on the outsole as well as the varying sizes of the lugs ensure you have the traction where you need it in specific places. Working together with the insole and the elements of the Upper, the Kento aims to give you all the stability and protection required for technical terrains.
