GORE-TEX Upper

Constructed using synthetic leather, the Merrell MOAB 2 offers a wider range of protection to help you gain the maximum from your footwear. The soft leather ensures long-lasting comfort yet provides ample protection from loose debris and rocks. The durable nature of the leather minimises the risks of wear and tear leaving you with a boot you can truly rely on. A breathable mesh lining; the mesh allows air to fully permeate the upper providing a supply of cool, fresh air whilst simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air that resides in the boot during heavy exertion. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the boot; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. Towards the toes, there is a strong rubber cap, which protects the forefoot from any bumps or knocks whilst the padded tongue sits on the ankle comfortably, and also works to stop debris from entering and coming into contact with the foot. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

EVA Midsole

The midsole has been constructed using different technologies to ensure long-lasting comfort and increased cushioning. EVA within the midsole offers supreme cushioning and support to key areas like the arch and heel, holding the foot securely in place for a smoother transition and wear. By supporting these key areas of the foot, the midsole material can also help to offer enough support to help prevent discomfort and possible injury. An air cushion also features in the midsole to provide shock absorption and stability. The air cushion features in the heel to reduce stress on the foot with each step; this, in turn, lesses the impact during heel strikes and helps to cradle the heel to maintain proper alignment. A kinetic fit advanced removable insole which provides medium support for all-day wear. Designed with enhanced heel stability and heel cushioning the insole reduces foot fatigue by proving medium support for demanding pursuits. Completing the midsole is a moulded nylon shank which provides torsional rigidity for uneven terrain.

Vibram TC5+ Outsole

Designed with Vibram TC5+ these boots are designed to offer stability in all conditions. With no lugs under the arch, the Vibram outsole allows the foot to flex naturally for greater comfort. The advanced rubber compound provides traction on wet, and dry surfaces in even the most extreme temperatures ensuring you have confidant footing no matter where you chose to explore. Ensuring multi-directional grip the outsole ensures traction on varied terrain ensuring confident footing on varied terrain. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. Completing the outsole are 5mm lugs which dig deep into the ground when braking or changing direction. The deep lugs are able to anchor the foot into the wet and muddy ground, securing you into place whilst also forming a solid base to push off from.
