Nubuck Leather and Mesh Upper

The durable nubuck leather and breathable mesh upper of the Merrell Chameleon II Stretch Walking Shoes ensure you are able to go the distance in complete comfort. Perforations in the fabric encourage cool air to circulate, removing uncomfortable heat build-up to create a healthy environment for your foot to thrive in, whilst the leather offers durability for exceptional performance on the trail. Aegis® Antimicrobial Technology is infused into the mesh eliminating odours that can build up over time. A bellows tongue helps to keep debris out and sits comfortably against the foot. The collar of the shoes have been made with a Lycra/Neoprene 4-Way Stretch providing you with a secure and locked-in fit that also stops debris from entering from the top of the shoes. Completing the upper is an elastic cord and lock lacing system that allows you to quickly lock down the foot with a secure and comfortable fit that suits you.

Air Cushion Midsole

With an Air Cushion midsole, the Chameleon II Stretch will ensure that you won't feel any discomfort when walking for long periods of time. This is because the shoes have been engineered so that each step provides the compression necessary to absorb up to four times the body's weight, with a pronounced heel cup keeping the foot centred for greater stability. Further enhancing stability a Nylon 6.6 Injection Moulded Shank has been included, not only will this assist with stability but will support the arch of your foot reducing fatigue and helping you to walk further. This will also reduce the risk of injury by taking less stress off joints like the knees, ankles and bones in the feet. This will mean that you will fatigue less, maximising the amount of activity that you can achieve. They also include a TPU moulded instep stability arm, which will protect it from any heavy strikes as well as keep it in a secure position. A 4.5mm Anatomical Footbed provides additional comfort needed for those longer hikes.
