Merrell Agility Peak 4 GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoes

This waterproof and cushioned, grippy trail runner is designed for those who want a lot of protection on even the most rugged trails. Version 4 was updated with a slightly thicker midsole made of the lighter-weight FloatPro foam and a new Vibram MegaGrip outsole for even better grip on rock.

Jacquard Mesh Upper

Designed to provide comfort and protection, the Merrell Agility Peak 4 Trail Running Shoes have been constructed using a jacquard mesh upper. The jacquard upper works to provide lightweight breathability and protection to keep your feet safe on rocky terrains. Acting as a lightweight second skin, the mesh ensures you are able to go the distance in complete comfort. Perforations in the fabric encourage cool air to circulate, removing uncomfortable heat build-up to create a healthy environment for your foot to thrive in. A GORE-TEX membrane has been added which provides optimal waterproof protection to keep your feet dry whilst remaining breathable. As well as this, the breathable mesh lining sits comfortably against the skin and further enhances breathability. The padded collar increases next-to-skin comfort whilst the protective toe cap protects the feet from knocks and bangs. Completing the upper is an integrated lacing system that locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

FloatPro Foam Midsole

Within the midsole Merrell's signature FloatPro Foam has been used to ensure a light, durable ride. The midsole ensures ample underfoot cushioning to reduce the impact placed upon the feet on tough trails whilst remaining as lightweight as possible so you'll never feel weighed down. The lightweight midsole offers supreme cushioning and support to key areas like the arch and heel, holding the foot securely in place for a smoother transition and wear. By supporting these key areas of the foot, the midsole material can also help to offer enough support to help prevent discomfort and possible injury. As well as this, Merrell's signature FlexConnect technology has been used within the midsole to ensure enhanced ground connection. FlexConnect's dual-directional flex grooves ensure a secure fit as well as a natural and serious grip to deliver agility and stability on any terrain. Completing the midsole is an EVA insole that offers better cushioning, durability and increased breathability underfoot. The soft insole cushions your feet over long distances and increases ventilation to keep you cool when temperatures rise.

Vibram MegaGrip

Developed using a Vibram MegaGrip outsole, the Agility Peak provides extreme grip and traction for all surface wear. Developed for extremely slippery terrain, the extremely durable rubber can form a solid bond with the ground to anchor you in place. Despite facing abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up against this, deflecting the blows and retaining a strong shape and structure. Providing multi-directional grip, the outsole ensures traction on varied terrain to give confident footing on varied terrain. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. Completing the outsole are lugs that dig deep into the ground when braking or changing direction. The deep lugs are able to anchor the foot into the wet and muddy ground, securing you into place whilst also forming a solid base to push off from.
