Discover unmatched breathability with the Maipo Explorer Aerosport. Designed with a ventilated mesh upper and quick-dry materials, plus an innovative lug pattern that lets water escape for better contact, it's perfect for hot days and unexpected water escapades.
The upper has been crafted from a combination of synthetic and mesh for optimum comfort and fast-drying breathability to keep your feet dry on tough adventures. Mesh allows built-up heat and vapour to escape with ease, while fresh air flows in for a pleasant sensation. A mesh lining sits softly against your feet for a smooth in-shoe sensation and an irritation-free experience. Synthetic overlays protect your feet, shielding the shoes from damage and providing a more comfortable fit. Enhanced protection is provided by a bellows tongue that keeps out debris and keeps feet comfortable. An elastic heel pull tab helps get the shoes on with ease, and the traditional laces allow you to find the perfect fit. Finally, the shoes have been constructed using eco-friendly materials, including 100% recycled laces, eyestay webbing, elastic heel pull tab and breathable mesh lining.
The midsole is made from a lightweight EVA foam, which offers support and stability. It delivers cushioned comfort, attenuating shock as you strike down to protect your joints and muscles. This energy is then converted into rebound to keep you moving, allowing you to explore more of the great outdoors using less energy. Atop this, a removable EVA foam insole provides step-in cushioning and all-day comfort. FLEXconnect dual-directional flex-grooves in the midsole enhance ground connection and stability, helping you to move with greater proprioception.
Merrell sticky rubber is used for the outsole of the Maipo Explorer Aerosport. It forms a solid bond with the ground beneath for great grip and confidence. The outsole lug pattern helps you gain purchase on varied terrain for greater traction. It also allows water to escape, so you can hike the riverside without worries.
