The Speed Strike 2 GORE-TEX provides the comfort and weather protection you want of a waterproof hiking shoe, while also delivering a faster, more athletic style than traditional hikers.

GORE-TEX Upper

The upper of the Speed Strike 2 GORE-TEX has been designed with comfort at the forefront. It has been made using recycled webbing and a mesh lining for breathable comfort, which is combined with a GORE-TEX membrane to provide ventilated waterproofing. Synthetic leather and ripstop combine to provide ultra durable comfort, and the protective and abrasion resistant synthetic heel and toe cap keep feet shielded from knocks and scrapes. The bellows tongue seals out debris, whilst the padded collar is plush against the ankle. The recycled laces let you lock in the fit, and the heel loop assists with entry, and as an added bonus it is compatible with a carabiner. Finally, the upper is finished with a Cleansport NXT treatment for natural anti-odour protection, helping you stay feeling and smelling fresh.

Lightweight EVA Midsole

Featuring a lightweight EVA foam, the midsole ensures a stable step and long-lasting comfort so you can continue without any distractions from discomfort. A recycled integrated EVA foam insole with a recycled mesh cover offers additional comfort for all-day wear. This combination ensures ample cushioning and softness underfoot for maximum comfort, whilst providing plenty of support for hard-working feet.

Merrell Sticky Rubber Outsole

For grip and traction underfoot, a rubber outsole has been utilised. It provides a solid bond between the shoe and the ground, allowing for maximum adhesion, meaning confident, grippy steps. The outsole lug pattern has been developed with traction in mind, biting into soft ground to help you gain purchase when you need it most.
