Jacquard Mesh Upper

The upper of the Wave Inspire 14 is constructed with a breathable Jacquard mesh that allows air to fully permeate the upper. This allows cool, fresh air to be sucked in whilst at the same time pushing out hot, muggy air created a perfect in-shoe microclimate for your feet to thrive in. In addition, the upper boasts a dynamotion fit that is all about creating a shoe that works and moves with the foot throughout a run. The design and materials that are used to create the dynamotion fit work in unison to allow your foot to move and not prevent any natural movement but also provide structure to the upper.

Additionally, the dynamotion fit uses the latest motion capture and biomechanics technology, Mizuno's blueprint was designed to engineer shoes that work with the foot's gait cycle. A new feature that has been added to the Inspire 14 is a heel wedge design that works endlessly to provide more flexibility through decoupled areas.

NEW Cloudwave Midsole

Mizuno have used a proprietary concave-convex Cloudwave technology that resides in the midsole to provide cushioning and stability. Inspired by nature and sandwiched between the U4ic and U4icX, the Cloudwave's unique shape dissipates impact forces away from the foot for a smooth, cushioned feel on every step. manufactured from Pebax, the wave is a sustainable construction that spares your joints as you heel strike onto hard, unforgiving concrete.

The U4ic and U4icX combine for extra comfort as well as deliver stress-free cushioned rides with high rebounds, so heel strikers get extra protection and energy in every stride.

Stay cool and dry as you pound the pavements. Mizuno Intercool solves the problem of heat and humidity build-up in a running shoe. It does this by incorporating a full-length ventilation system in the sole of the shoe that removes heat and humidity from the foot through a system of ventilation channels, to keep flagging feet happy on longer distance days.

X10 Outsole

Durability and traction arrive in the form of an X10 outsole. The extremely substantial carbon rubber allows for longer wear in high impact areas and provides more traction at the heel strike. So you can run hard, knowing that your shoes can handle the heat. In addition, Mizuno integrates their Smoothride technology to minimise the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition, creating the smoothest ride possible.

Finally, flex grooves are added to the outsole to promote natural movement from the heel to the forefoot, initiating a rocking chair effect for fluid strides.
