The Wave Rider GORE-TEX 2 is designed with the worst possible weather conditions in mind; allowing you to be protected and finish your run, no matter the climate. The shoe features a Gore-tex mesh upper designed to deal with the most testing conditions. This membrane works to keep feet dry and ensure climate comfort breathability. GORE-TEX membranes are made up of billions of microscopic pores, smaller than a particle of water but bigger than a particle of moisture. This results in a waterproof layer that's highly breathable by allowing excess heat and moisture to leave the shoe; leaving your foot cool, dry, and comfortable.

The Wave Rider GORE-TEX features maximum cushioning and comfort due to a U4icX bottom midsole. This light, evolutionary midsole absorbs impact and gives a higher rebound, thus fulfilling the most comfortable, energized run possible. Running feels luxurious and smooth due to Cloudwave ultra-soft cushioning, which introduces new convex geometry to provide a softer, smoother feel. This midsole and cushioning works alongside the Gore Tex fabric to ensure the most comfortable fit and feel during the worst weather conditions

The shoe has a precise, comfortable fit with freedom of movement. This has been inspired by Mizuno's iconic Wave technology, backed by decades of being a leading manufacture of Running shoes. This technology works to disperse impact away from the foot and give stability on any terrain; meaning a high level of performance can be combined with a pain-free and comfortable feel. This is combined with Mizuno Dynamotion Fit, based on anatomical research to create patterns that give improved garment fit and full freedom of movement.
