Mesh Upper

The upper of the Mizuno Wave Exceed Light 2 is designed for maximum breathability. The mesh construction features micro-perforations that allow built-up heat and vapour to escape whilst simultaneously allowing fresh air to enter and circulate for a pleasantly cooling experience. This upper is comfortable and soft from the initial fit and is super lightweight so you won't be weighed down on the court. The traditional lacing system secures the shoe to the foot for precise, confident movement. A padded tongue and collar help protect the foot from lace pressure and knocks so you can play all day long. Completing the upper, an RB line starting from the vamp gives the shoe a more speedy, innovative look and a higher heel height and outward curved shape provide the look of speed plus a great fit.

MIZUNO ENERZY and Mizuno WAVE Foam Midsole

Updated with Mizuno's ENERZY Core technology, this runs the full length of the midsole, providing an extremely soft and bouncy feeling. MIZUNO ENERZY has been developed to enhance performance capacity and guarantee that athletes retain more of the energy that they put in. All whilst providing an overall more comfortable feeling. This new technology is a product of the brand's combined knowledge of rebound benefits from Mizuno's cross-sports category expertise and its core Mizuno WAVE footwear function, which provides a unique combination of cushioning and stability. Mizuno WAVE foam stays as a core element of the midsole construction to guarantee stability, control shock absorption and enhance cushioning. The WAVE's unique shape will absorb all energy from the strike of the foot, where it is dispersed. This will protect the feet from heavy impacts and add stability by spreading the energy. This creates an ultra-responsive experience, so you can make those split-second moves that win you the point. Additionally, an updated Dyna-Heel Lock structure improved the fit and feel of the shoes, whilst enhances in-shoe stability to keep your ankle and heel stable on the court. X10 Outsole

X10 technology is used in the outsole which benefits the shoe as it is superbly lightweight and long-lasting, so you can move with speed and enjoy wearing these tennis shoes for longer. Carbon rubber is also used for its durable properties as it allows for longer wear and provides better traction on the heel strike. Specifically engineered flex D-Flex Grooves on the outsole help to increase the speed and performance by transferring body movement in the natural direction.
