Jacquard Air Mesh Upper

Providing soft, breathable wearability and outstanding comfort when venturing long-distance runs, the Wave Rider 29 features a smooth jacquard air mesh upper. Designed to provide outstanding breathability, and to ensure feet stay fresh and feel cool during tough running sessions, the materials have strategic perforations for providing constant fresh air to feet, and reduce discomfort when the training gets tricky. Moisture-wicking properties help reduce the risks of discomfort and keep you dry throughout by removing excess sweat or moisture from your skin. The uppers gently stretch to hug your feet, adapting to their movements for a perfect fit and feel while securely holding your foot in place. A soft tongue and cushioned collar sit comfortably against your feet to prevent excessive movement and encase feet for a secure fit. Working with this, the traditional lacing system locks down the midfoot for a secure fit, and confident strides.

Mizuno Enerzy NXT Midsole

An update from their predecessors, the Wave Rider 29 utilises a nitrogen-infused version of the Mizuno Enerzy NXT midsole. This next-generation, high-performance material supplies feet with super soft, comfortable strides, and is lighter than previous Enerzy foams, with improved cushioning and the ability to enable more output so you can push harder for longer. Its soft rebound keeps strides bouncy and energetic for constant comfort. Sandwiched between the foam is the Mizuno Wave compound which provides shock-absorbing properties, to reduce discomfort. The plate absorbs impact when striking down on tough, less-forgiving surfaces, providing you with underfoot propulsion and a more stable ride.

X10 Outsole

For optimised grip and traction, as well as stability on varying road surfaces and conditions, Mizuno's X10 compound adorns the outsole of the Wave Rider 29. Made from durable carbon rubber, the X10 is designed for extended wear in high-impact areas and improves heel traction.
