The Xenith Jacket from Mountain Equipment has been created with a HELIUM 10D fabric; it's exceptionally lightweight, windproof and packable, making this a great addition to your outdoor wardrobe. The fabric is also highly durable, protecting itself against whatever the trails throw at it, staying in top condition longer. The outer is coated with a Durable water-repellent (DWR) finish, shedding light rain and snow with ease to keep the outer fabric drier for longer so you stay dry and comfortable. Using 120g (Size Large) of 90/10 800 fill power hydrophobic Goose down, the jacket keeps you warm at a low weight. The down traps heat created by movement in tiny air pockets, sitting close to the body, creating a barrier of warmth. The water-repellent, high-loft insulation is low weight and reduces pack size, making it easy to store when the jacket is not in use. Mountain Equipment has introduced a hexagon baffle construction that optimises loft, which means minimal heat loss and exceptional down control. The design offers more weather resistance, faster drying times, fewer cold spots, and reduced down migration through the jacket's life. For enhanced weather protection, the jacket has an insulated, helmet-compatible hood with EXL elastication providing a close fit that won't fall when the wind picks up. For temperature control and easy on/off, a 2-way YKK Vislon centre-front zip is included; this features an insulated baffle to eliminate cold spots behind the zip. When zipped up, the jacket retains heat to keep you warm; when down, cool air can flow to keep you at the perfect temperature as you move. Helping trap heat and offer a comfortable fit, the jacket has elastane-bound cuffs and dual-tether hem drawcords that seal out wind while precisely adjusting the fit. Completing the jacket and providing plenty of space for essentials, Mountain Equipment have included two zipped hand warmer pockets and two internal drop-in pockets.
