The Intra Light Gilet from Mountain Equipment has been created with a HELIUM 20D fabric, which is exceptionally lightweight, wind-resistant and extremely breathable, making this a must-have for your outdoor wardrobe. Highly durable, it protects itself against whatever the trails throw at it, keeping itself in top condition longer. The gilet features a Durable water-repellent (DWR) finish, keeping you dry in light rain and snow showers. Inside the jacket, Mountain Equipment uses 40 g/m² Aerius synthetic insulation. This provides an outstanding warmth-to-weight ratio and makes it easy to compress and pack away. The synthetic insulation traps heat created by movement in tiny air pockets, creating a barrier of warmth. Improving heat retention, the gilet uses an Octayarn Warp-knit back, which provides exceptional insulation, moisture transfer and comfort. For temperature control and easy on/off, Mountain Equipment has added a 2-way YKK Vislon centre-front zip, including an insulated baffle to eliminate cold spots behind the zip. When zipped up, the jacket retains heat to keep you warm; when down, cool air can flow to keep you at the perfect temperature as you move. For storage, two zipped hand warmer pockets and one chest pocket provide ample space for essentials. Trapping heat and offering a comfortable fit, the gilet has stretch armholes and dual-tether hem drawcords that seal out wind while finely tuning the fit.
