Constructed using GORE-TEX with an ePE membrane, the Kedar Jacket will shield you from poor, wet weather conditions while remaining highly breathable, keeping you dry and comfortable throughout your hiking adventure. The 3-layer GORE-TEX construction features a Nylon 70D face and backer fabric with the GORE-TEX membrane sandwiched between the layers to improve the jacket's waterproofness, breathability and durability. Mountain Equipment has added a DWR coating that helps the rain bead up and roll off the jacket, keeping you drier for longer. The jacket uses a mountain fit that is relaxed through the body and sleeves, allowing room for more layers underneath, so you can stay warm when temperatures plummet. A fully adjustable Mountain HC Hood protects you from the constantly changing weather when traversing the mountains. The hood is also helmet-compatible, providing the best fit and feel, with a wired peak to prevent the elements from impairing your vision. Multiple storage options provide space for essentials, including two large pockets with YKK water-resistant zips, a chest pocket with YKK water-resistant zips and an inner pocket with a YKK zip. There's also a sleeve pocket with a YKK AquaGuard zip for secure, low-profile storage perfect for a ski pass or small essentials. The dual-tether hem drawcords and laminated cuffs accommodate layering and seal out driving rain, while providing complete protection during extremely wet weather. Large pit zips also help regulate temperature, allowing cool air to circulate while releasing built-up heat and managing moisture build-up during strenuous uphill legs or in humid conditions. The jacket is completed by a 2-way YKK AquaGuard Vislon centre-front zip, which provides ventilation and easy on/off.
