Fabric Benefits And Features
The Pulsar Jacket from Montane is made with POLARTEC Classic fabric which has a variety of features. One key feature is that the fabric is super lightweight which will help the wearer stay comfortable instead of causing them to feel weighed down. Another key feature is that the fabric allows cool air to flow through into the garment at the same time as releasing warmer air. This will allow the wearer to remain cool and comfortable for longer. The fleece fibres trap heat and hold it on the jacket to keep the wearer warm on cooler days. DRYACTIV Stretch panels have been fitted to the side and underarm areas of the jacket. The panels allow excess sweat and moisture to be drawn away from the skin and moved to outer layers where they can be easily evaporated and will increase comfort. The panels also used a 4-way construction to allow the jacket to move naturally with the body and help to prevent the wearer feeling restricted. Low profile flat-locked seams have been used throughout the construction of the jacket which improves durability and helps to prevent the seams causing chafe and discomfort when they sit closely against the skin.
Additional Jacket Features
The articulated sleeves allow the wearer to reach high instead of them feeling as though the jacket is restricting their movements. This also helps to prevent hem lift which could cause discomfort but could also release heat from the jacket and let cold air to enter through the hem opening. 2 zipper finished pockets have been added to the front of the jacket. These are specifically placed to allow the wearer to use them as space to place their hands to shield them from the cold wind. The pockets also provide much-needed storage space for essential items. The full-length centre front zip allows the user to quickly and easily adjust the front fastening which can improve coverage and ventilation, depending on the user's personal preference. The low profile wrist cuffs help to reduce bulk and also help to block cold air from getting up the sleeves and into the jacket.
