The New Montane Icarus Flight Jacket features Featherlite mini rip-stop 20D outer with a DWR (Durable Water Repellency) treatment. This technology provides lightweight durability prolonging the life of the jacket while offering a water-resistant coating to protect you in light showers.

In addition, Montane have added their innovative Thermoplume insulation that feels like down, acts like down, is super durable, doesn't take as much water on as down but is 100% synthetic. The material scientists at PrimaLoft have raised the standard with PrimaLoft Black Insulation Thermoplume, an all-synthetic package featuring down-comparable performance. A special blend of PrimaLoft proprietary fibres deliver the performance features you need - insulating loft, wet weather protection and compressibility. Warmth equivalent in construction to 550 fill power down - this comfort solution represents a breakthrough in styled performance.

To keep all of that warmth the ThermoPlume technology is creating from escaping, the Icarus yields YKK Vislon front zip that is great at creating a barrier between you and the cold. For that extra bit of protection, the Icarus also sports an internal storm flap behind the main zipper to keep you as comfortable as possible. Furthermore, the jacket provides additional features such as the Thermo Stretch Pro fleece panels for better breathability and freedom of movement in alpine conditions. This unique feature allows you to move freely without encountering any restrictions as well as dumps hot air to prevent overheating.
