Lined with super packable, high loft POLARTEC Alpha Direct insulation throughout, the Hydrogen Extreme Jacket is designed for fast-paced mountaineering and climbing in cooler conditions. The supreme breathability of the PERTEX QUANTUM AIR outer shell offers all-day comfort, whilst the DWR finish will still shed light rain.

The Montane Hydrogen Extreme Jacket provides breathable and packable insulation for fast paced climbing and mountaineering. The 120g/m2 Polartec Alpha Direct high loft fleece lining is one of the latest evolutionary steps in synthetic insulation. Based on Polartec's Thermal Pro High Loft technology platform, it has an open, woven construction which combines warmth with hyper breathability. At the same time, it is also extremely compressible and provides warmth without the same level of weight or bulk as traditional insulation fabrics. This patented, adaptive quality is made possible through Alpha's lofted fibres connected to a solid mesh core. And since Polartec Alpha Direct is inherently hydrophobic, it resists all moisture and dries incredibly fast. This is combined with a Pertex Quantum Air outer which is engineered with increased air permeability to provide a balance between wind resistance and breathability. The more openly woven structure of Quantum Air fabrics allows airflow through the fabric, which helps to regulate your body heat and keep you comfortable for longer. This balance of air permeability and wind resistance means Pertex Quantum Air fabrics are perfectly suited to intense mountain pursuits. A durable water repellent finish sheds light rain and snow to provide additional weather protection. The fully adjustable, roll-away, insulated, climbing helmet-compatible hood with stiffened peak is ideal for mountaineering and climbing activities. Hook and loop adjustable cuff tabs, as well as an adjustable hem with cinchable drawcord, allow you to personalise the fit and keep the elements out, for extra comfort and protection. Articulated arms allow for high reach movement with no restrictions, as your clothing choice should never inhibit your performance. The full length, two-way, YKK Vislon front zip with internal storm flap allows for easy on and off and provides temperature control when necessary. Simply zip up for maximum heat retention or zip down for extra ventilation when things start to heat up. The jacket includes two external zipped Napoleon chest pockets with YKK zips and two insulated hand pockets with YKK zips, so you can store your personal items or maps safely and securely, or warm your chilly hands.
