The Alpine 850 Jacket by Montane uses 850+ fill power ethically sourced down encased in cutting-edge Diamond Lite fabric to provide exceptionally efficient warmth to weight ratio.
Cutting edge Diamond Lite is a lightweight 20 Denier nylon fabric with 'liquid crystal' yarns woven into the face, making it extremely resistant to abrasion and tearing, with a DWR finish for extra protection. Combined with 350g of high quality 850+ fill power goose down inside core body box walled chambers, with a Featherlite XV nylon rip-stop lining, the durability and the warmth to weight ratio of the Alpine 850 Down Jacket makes it perfect for high altitude mountaineering. Articulated arms allow for high reach movement, so there are no restrictions on the mountains. In a classic mountain fit, the jacket is versatile and relaxed, perfect for layering and allows for maximum comfort.
Pre-elasticated cuffs easily accommodate a variety of gloves, whilst minimising heat loss and allowing a more streamlined fit around the arm, for less distractions. The adjustable roll-away insulated, climbing helmet compatible hood has additional face circumference baffle protection, so you are ready for any kind of activity in any kind of condition. An adjustable hem with cinchable cords prevents spindrift entry and aids in the retention of all important body heat. Two internal stretch-mesh drop pockets are ideal for storage, and are even able to accommodate larger objects should you need them on your adventure. Two hand pockets lined with soft brushed microfleece make the perfect refuge for cold hands, or are also ideal for storing small essentials that you need to keep handy, with a YKK Aquaguard Vislon zip to keep them secure. The full length two-way YKK Aquaguard Vislon front zip with internal storm flap provides maximum temperature control, giving you the option to retain heat or allow extra ventilation as and when you need it. The jacket also comes with a waterproof storage Montane dry bag, so can be easily stored away when you don't need it.
