Montane Terra Pant (Short Leg)

A classic, lightweight, tough, four-season mountain pant from Montane - The Terra Pant.

Fabric And Construction

The Terra Pant is made from TACTEL fabric which is wind and water resistant and offers a fast-drying, cotton-like feel. The wind and water resistant properties will help to shield the wearer from the elements, especially those which could cause the wearer to feel an uncomfortable chill. The fast drying properties also help to reduce the risk of chill. By resisting water this reduces the amount of water which is soaked in by the pant and held against the skin, which could potentially cause discomfort and distraction. The cotton-feel allows the pant to sit smoothly against the skin, this will also reduce the risk of chafe and irritation. Placed on the seat, knees and inner ankles of the pant CORDURA Mini Ripstop material has been placed. By adding this to high abrasion areas, the pant will stay in great condition for longer and will offer full coverage and protection to the wearer. UPF 40+ protection is incorporated into the material which will protect the wearer from harmful UV rays, ideal for sunny training days. Engineered tailoring has been used on the knees which allow for easier leg movements and also reduce the risk of the wearer feeling restricted.

Zips And Fastenings

A mesh-lined vent has been placed on each thigh which vastly increases ventilation, meaning it allows cool air to flow in through the fabric at the same time as warm air is released. Two zipped hand pockets have been added to the side-front area of the pant, providing secure and easily accessible storage space for essential items. Belt loops have been placed around the waist area which allows the wearer to use a belt to adjust the fit of the pant if they wish to do so (a belt is provided). Underneath the belt area, the tailored waist includes a button fastening system which is quick and easy to adjust. Zip panels have been placed in the ankle area of the pant. This will allow the wearer to adjust the amount of coverage and/or ventilation they receive depending on personal preference and weather conditions. Press studs finish the end-of-leg fastenings, providing a reinforced fastening which will give the wearer peace of mind and full coverage.
