Montane Kamen Hooded Men's Jacket

The Montane Kamen down jacket is built for when the temperatures plummet. Meticulously engineered for mountaineering, providing high-performance thermal and lightweight protection for the most demanding technical ascents.

Constructed using PERTEX QUANTUM DIAMOND FUSE, a 20-denier recycled Nylon ripstop with advanced technology, the Kamen hoodie has an engineered cross-section that allows diamond fuse yarns to sit together even more tightly than conventional yarn, creating an incredibly flat fabric surface. This design increases the fabric's abrasion and snag resistance, whilst also improvingwa its ability to shed water. The fabric is windproof and also downproof, stopping down from poking through. Teamed with PFC/PFAS Free DWR, the durable material keeps you feeling dry and protected in light rain. ExpeDRY goose down with 800+ fill power works through a permanent and chemical-free bonding of gold particles to the down cluster, aiding in the evaporation of water molecules to help the down dry faster and stay dry in high humidity, as well as extreme conditions. This means that the garment performs well throughout your adventure, even in changing weather. Additionally, PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Active Vent lightweight synthetic insulation provides warmth and thermal efficiency, designed for breathability and effective moisture management to keep you comfortable and dry as things heat up. This insulation is packable and remains warm even when wet for versatile use and features 4-way stretch to enable freedom of movement. Added PrimaLoft Gold in the CF collar and shoulders manages moisture build-up and offers durable insulation in high compression areas. PEAQ Lightweight recycled Nylon plain weave fabric keeps the hooded jacket lightweight and durable.

Built on a Mountain Fit block with added volume, the Kamen allows for technical layering systems for colder wet weather conditions, while a dropped rear hem provides additional coverage as you move, and sleeve articulation prioritises arm lift for whatever your adventure throws at you. A NAT baffle construction has been designed to improve thermal performance by lofting down towards the body, and an insulated CF placket further prevents heat loss. The REACH+ fit construction offers unparalleled arm lift and articulation for excellent movement, whilst a reduction in vertical seams and enhanced pattern cutting helps to improve durability, reduce weight and remove additional cold spots. OFFSET seam intersections further improve construction, durability and comfort. The jacket's helmet-compatible PIVOT 2 adjustable hood system, with separate aperture and crown adjustment, allows you to find the perfect fit to suit your needs, keeping you covered in wet weather conditions. Lastly, self-sealing cuffs lock in warmth, and multiple pockets provide secure storage for essentials that you wish to keep handy on your outdoor adventures.
