New Balance 1080v2 Running Shoes

Airmesh Upper

Optimising in-shoe comfort, and keeping feet cool along the way, the 1080v2 features a lightweight Airmesh upper. The materials were redesigned from their predecessors to improve breathability, and provide a fresh, cosy in-shoe experience, making them perfect for getting the miles in. Working alongside this, the shoes have strategically placed synthetic reinforcements which add durability and structure to the shoes. The welded seams and seamless structure increase comfort by reducing irritation and chafing during the more active periods of your running adventures. New Balance improved the fit from the original 1080s, delivering a secure, foot-hugging sensation, and thanks to the traditional lace-up system, this helps further keep feet locked in to prevent in-shoe slipping from occurring.

N2 Cushioning Midsole

Keeping things lightweight, soft and bouncy, the shoes feature an N2 cushioning compound. This system uses fewer materials, meaning the cushioning is lighter in weight, whilst ensuring optimum underfoot softness and a cushioned experience. N2 is a nitrogen-injected moulding that provides dynamic cushioning and encourages more energetic strides. An ABZORB compound also features in the midsole of the 1080v2s, providing excellent shock absorption and energy return to distribute the impact during strides, preventing discomfort or injury when running. The shoes also feature a T-Beam midfoot shank to enhance stability and flexibility underfoot for stable strides. Finally, the midsole also features Acteva and C-Cap which are EVA foams that increase cushioning capacity and underfoot comfort during your next running endeavour, while also improving the shoes' lifespan.

Blown Rubber Outsole

The 2nd version of the 1080s utilises a blown rubber outsole for optimum grip and traction when traversing often changing road conditions. The lightweight, flexible outsole provides extra cushioning, whilst being super durable to keep things long-lasting and reliable.
