Driven by a new spike plate, our updated MD500v7 offers a premium experience for the emerging track athlete. The underfoot ride is inspired by the MD800 but tweaked to perform for a broad variety of distances and disciplines. A sleek new upper provides a lightweight structure with an attitude.
Synthetic Mesh Upper
The upper of the New Balance MD500v7 is constructed with a lightweight mesh which provides ventilation to the feet, keeping them cool and dry, while the synthetic materials provide support. To ensure comfort, the shoe is developed with a no-sew upper application which helps reduce the risk of irritation and discomfort. The upper also features a resin-print exoskeleton for athletic and a thin comfort tongue and contoured collar for additional comfort.
REVlite Midsole
The midsole showcases one of New Balance's best foams in the REVlite. It is made of really sturdy and responsive material at 30% less weight than most of New Balance's cushioning materials. The full-length REVlite makes cushioning consistent and contributes to the soft feel of the MD500v7.
Pebax Plate Outsole
With a 6 spike configuration provides the best possible traction even on the most challenging terrain. The 6 spike Pebax plate offers a high-strength thermoplastic polymer outsole with great flexibility and impact resistant properties for long-lasting durability, while also providing the perfect balance of traction, flexibility, and speed.
