New Balance Fresh Foam X Hierro v9 GORE-TEX Men's Trail Running Shoes

A versatile, waterproof trail running shoe with grippy treads and a cushioned midsole for year-round wear.

Synthetic and Mesh Upper

Engineered using a combination of synthetic and mesh materials, the Hierro v9 wraps the foot in breathable comfort whilst providing a more secure, locked-down fit. The mesh enables cool air to flow whilst removing uncomfortable heat build-up and regulating temperature to create a healthy environment where feet can thrive. The synthetic material is highly durable and supportive, encouraging a locked-down fit. Featuring a GORE-TEX waterproof membrane, the upper effectively seals out moisture, offering exceptional waterproof protection for dry, comfortable feet. The gusseted tongue seals out dirt and debris and is lightly padded to alleviate lace pressure, keeping chafing at bay. Toe Protect technology helps protect feet from rocks, roots and debris you might encounter on the trail, while a traditional lacing system locks down the midfoot for a secure, comfortable fit.

Fresh Foam X Midsole

A Fresh Foam X midsole foam delivers New Balance's most cushioned Fresh Foam experience for incredible comfort. The dual-density foam increases plushness and stability. It attenuates shock as you strike down, protecting your joints from stress and strain. This energy is then converted into rebound to propel you into your next step, helping you run further and faster, using less energy. This means you get that flying feeling, allowing you to traverse the great outdoors with speed. The combination of the above actions helps to improve your gait cycle. This is achieved through its unique foam structure, which utilises larger bubbles at the heel for impact absorption and smaller bubbles towards the forefoot for enhanced propulsion. The foam is created with more natural materials (3% bio-based content), aligning with New Balance's commitment to environmental sustainability.

Vibram Megagrip Outsole

Completing the New Balance Hierro is a Vibram Megagrip outsole that supplies a sticky grip for multi-directional traction. This high-performance outsole provides you with an unparalleled grip on both wet and dry surfaces, rugged longevity, and optimal ground adaptability. The rubber can form a solid bond with the ground beneath it, ensuring traction and control as you explore the unbeaten path. The shoes feature multi-directional lugs, supplying increased traction on gravel and loose dirt, enabling you to tackle awkward ascents and difficult descents.
