Made for the race day and beyond, the Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% Flyknit 2's will help you shave off time from your personal records, without surrendering the foundation you need to go the full distance.
Providing feet with comfort and breathability, the upper construction of the Air Zoom Alphafly Next% Flyknit 2 Shoes utilises a Flyknit-Atomknit upper. These materials have a contoured fit, whilst also being lightweight, supplying feet with the utmost comfort and control when racing. The super breathable properties of the upper provide feet with a constant supply of fresh, cool air, keeping you comfortable even when the race begins to heat up. Alongside this, the specially designed lofted heel pods use Flyknit yarn for secure, extended comfort and lightweight heel lockdown. An integrated tongue with lofted padding provides you with a secure, repeatable fit that reduces pressure from the laces. The notched laces provide you with a secure, yet soft lace-up.
The Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% Flyknit 2 Racing Shoes utilise a ZoomX compound through the midsole. Nike's ZoomX is lighter, softer and more responsive than any Nike foam, designed to maximise speed by delivering greater energy return. ZoomX was derived from a foam traditionally used in aerospace innovation, applied for the first time in performance footwear. The ZoomX midsole in this shoe is a lightweight cushioning providing you exceptional comfort and protection for your feet. The foam construction also delivers an impressive 85% energy return, giving you the propulsion that you need from a racing shoe. Combined with this are 2 slim visible Zoom Air units, which assist you with more energy return. A full-length Carbon-Plate is also integrated into the shoe and delivers a snappy sensation with each stride. Nike has scaled the thickness of the plate for the size of each shoe-it is more flexible in smaller sizes and gets stiffer as the size of the shoe increases, which means that every runner has the same propulsive sensation no matter their size.
Designed using data gathered from hundreds of runners, the outsoles of the Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% Flyknit 2 Shoes provide you with a great deal of traction. The soles have different angles of traction placed in areas of the shoe where you will need them most, therefore providing grip from toe-off through to every phase of your stride. The durable rubber that's provided, ensures a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping.
