Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoes

The Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 GORE-TEX is made for those moments when you don't want to turn back, no matter what. Feel confident even in the most unforeseen weather conditions with waterproof GORE-TEX keeping you dry, so you can run harder for longer and take your wet run from the road to the trail without breaking stride. A waterproof layer paired with a higher ankle gaiter gives you extra coverage so you stay dry.

GORE-TEX Upper

The upper features GORE-TEX Invisible Fit technology, delivering waterproof protection without sacrificing fit or feel. Its flexible, lightweight design keeps your feet dry when running through wet roads. Quick-drying properties help keep it fresh, so you're ready for your next workout. When temperatures begin to rise the well-ventilated upper ensures a constant cooling effect so you can power through any workout with ease. A midfoot cage exists to provide added support; it helps your feet stay secure and contained as you move through uneasy terrain. The perforated tongue helps to resist water and increase drainage whilst a faux gaiter piece at the collar keeps out dirt and debris. An all-new gaiter around the ankle provides extra protection against water and trail debris. Pull tabs at the heel and tongue to ensure an easy on and off. Completing the shoes is a lacing system that locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

React Foam Midsole

A full-length platform of React cushioning resides underfoot to deliver feathery durability plus smooth responsiveness. To produce this startlingly lightweight and springy midsole, crafted from synthetic rubber, Nike listened to the voice of the athlete. Their in-house sports research lab plugged footstrike data into a proprietary algorithm that determined how much cushioning was needed and where. They simulated testing on (about) one hundred possible shoe geometries to quickly determine the handful they knew would work best for most runners and then merged the science with an elegant design, intended to feel like a slipper on a mattress. The reactive nature of this clever midsole material means it absorbs impact and then expels it back out for a bounce-like effect. This energy-return technology reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, diminishing fatigue and enhancing performance, keeping you going for longer. Soft, generous and substantial, React will spare your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving concrete and infuse every stride with the kind of zealous power that is often elusive in the running world.

Rubber Outsole

The rubber outsole has a generative traction pattern, created using data from runners like you to provide enhanced traction and increased durability where needed. The outsole ensures a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. The rubber covers the heel, forefoot, and midfoot to enhance durability, resisting the traumas of heel-strike and toe-off to provide you with a reliable and long-lasting running buddy. The rubber features deeper grooves that compress and cushion as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces whilst the rubber at the midfoot wraps around the front of the shoe for more durability and protection, ideal for technical trail running. Mitton rubber in the forefoot provides extra grip for technical trails while maintaining a smooth ride for the road. Remaining lightweight and durable, the outsole and its geometric, athlete-informed traction pattern help evenly disperse impact to provide a smooth transition and a soft feel, uniting with Nike React technology to support your foot through footstrike. For the athletes who crave supple comfort and lighter weight on the wet and muddy trails, choose the Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 GORE-TEX.
