Nike ReactX Pegasus Trail 5 Trail Running Shoes

Spread your wings and see what nature brings as you chase earthy paths in the Pegasus Trail 5. Now equipped with an ultra-responsive ReactX foam midsole, this shoe is a true dual threat, raring to cross the divide between dirt and drives.

Woven Mesh Upper

The Pegasus Trail 5s utilise a mesh upper to ensure your feet remain extremely cool and comfortable on your next trail running adventure. Strategically placed perforations provide feet with a constant supply of airflow for a cool, fresh experience, while tighter woven fabrics in the high-wearing areas of the shoes provide durability, protecting the shoes from damage. Moisture-wicking properties prevent feet from becoming uncomfortable, reducing a build-up of sweat and moisture, and keeping feet cool and fresh. Additionally, the shoes utilise a traditional lace-up construction to provide a locked-in, secure fit, reducing in-shoe slipping. Nike's Flywire technology provides enhanced support and helps to secure your midfoot. Completing the uppers are reflective details to help enhance your visibility during low-light running adventures.

ReactX Midsole

Providing you with high levels of energy return, yet with a lowered carbon footprint, the ReactX Pegasus Trail 5 utilises a ReactX midsole. With outstanding cushioning and optimised comfort, the ReactX is soft, lightweight and durable, cushioning each stride to improve speed and performance. The foam reduces the carbon footprint of the midsole by nearly 43% compared to the previous React foam included in the Pegasus Trail 4s, therefore helping to support the planet. The foam has excellent energy return properties, propelling you forward on your run, keeping you comfortable underfoot and sparing your joints as you strike down on changing terrain. Not only this, but the technology reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, diminishing fatigue and enhancing performance, keeping you running for longer.

Nike Trail ATC Outsole

The 5th generation of the Pegasus Trails utilises less rubber along the outsole to provide a smoother transition from road to trail while preserving the ReactX midsole. This is present in the Nike Trail ATC outsole compound, providing high-abrasive comfort on various surfaces. Excellent grip and traction are provided on the varying surfaces of your trail running adventures, while the rubber wraps around the front of the shoes, optimising durability, keeping you confident and ready to tackle whatever the trail throws at you. The outsole has a generative traction pattern combined with rubber in the forefoot, for optimum grip on technical trails and maintaining a smooth ride on the road.
