The 3D-printed toe enhances the shoes' durability and supports feet in high-wearing areas while helping to keep your socks warm and dry. Additionally, a sturdy, high ankle cuff helps to keep the debris and trail rubble from entering and ensures feet remain warm and cosy when traversing colder climates. Finally, a traditional lace-up reduces in-shoe slipping, keeping feet secure within the shoes to keep you confident on the trails.

Providing you with high levels of energy return, yet with a lowered carbon footprint, the Pegasus Trail 5 GORE-TEX utilises a ReactX midsole. For outstanding cushioning and optimised comfort, the ReactX is a soft, lightweight and durable foam, which will cushion every stride to improve speed and performance. Propelling you forward on your trail run, the midsole has outstanding energy return, keeping you comfortable across constantly changing terrain, and helps reduce fatigue whilst enhancing performance. Not only does the midsole reduce fatigue and enhance performance, but it also minimises unnecessary muscle strain, allowing you to work for longer periods. The foam reduces the carbon footprint of the midsole by around 43% compared to the previous React foam included in the Pegasus Trail 4s, therefore helping to support the planet.

The Pegasus Trail 5 GORE-TEX has a Nike Trail ATC Outsole, to make them a perfect road and trail running companion. The versatile outsole ensures you have outstanding grip and traction on various surfaces, including in wet or dry weather, whilst wrapping around the front of the shoes to optimise durability and longevity, keeping you confident on the trail. Utilising a generative traction pattern, the shoes have an optimised grip when traversing the more technical trail runs however, maintain a smooth ride when running on road conditions.
