Engineered Mesh Upper
The upper has been constructed from an ultra-breathable mesh to ensure total comfort. Durable yet airy, the upper features micro-perforations throughout to allow built-up heat and vapour to escape whilst simultaneously encouraging fresh air to flow in for a pleasant cooling sensation. Lighter than the Zoom Fly 5, this upper is ultra-lightweight with a minimalist tongue to shave down the weight for maximal speed. Synthetic leather on the upper adds durability in key areas, and a traditional lacing system allows you to lock in the fit for confident, controlled strides. Reflective details ensure visibility in low light, meaning you can keep going beyond dusk till dawn.
ZoomX Foam Midsole
The midsole of the Zoom Fly is crafted from ultra-responsive ZoomX foam. Ultra-light and super-responsive, the midsole delivers Nike's greatest energy return yet; it absorbs impact and then expels it back out for a bounce-like effect. This energy-return technology reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, diminishing fatigue and enhancing performance, keeping you going for longer. The ZoomX foam is manufactured from Pebax, a product conventionally used in plastic bridges and other moulded parts, and yields cushioning that is not only lightweight but soft and springy. Reinforcing this bouncy, energetic feel is a full-length carbon fibre plate that provides snappy energy return for greater efficiency, giving you that flying feeling. The midsole also features a rockered construction, utilising the power of your last step to push you into your next one so you run further, faster with less effort.
Thin Durable Rubber Outsole
The Zoom Fly 6 features a thin yet ultra-durable rubber outsole to reduce weight without reducing longevity. The rubber forms a solid bond with the ground underneath for great adhesion and grip, meaning you can focus on the run without worrying about slipping.
