Fine-tuned for marathon speed, the Alphafly 3 "Eliud Kipchoge" helps push you beyond what you thought possible. Three innovative technologies power your run: A double dose of Air Zoom units helps launch you into your next step, a full-length carbon fibre plate helps propel you forward with ease, and a heel-to-toe ZoomX foam midsole helps keep you fresh from start to 26.2. Time to leave your old personal records in the dust.
Providing your feet with an outstanding level of comfort and support, the Alphafly Next% 3 utilises a new Atomknit upper construction. The materials throughout the upper of the shoe provide you with a contoured fit, with improved multidirectional containment and breathability. The minimalist fabric sits close to the foot to ensure a dynamic, lightweight fit that's ideal for racing, whilst perforations within the fabric increase airflow, creating a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. The breathable upper allows cool air to flow into the construction while simultaneously allowing hot, humid air to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The uppers also feature notched laces, offering a secure yet soft lace-up system for a locked-in feel. An integrated knit tongue and lofted padding ensure a secure fit, which helps alleviate lace pressure.
The Alphafly 3 utilises a ZoomX midsole for optimal cushioning. Nike's ZoomX is lighter, softer and more responsive than any Nike foam, designed to maximise speed by delivering greater energy return. ZoomX was derived from a foam traditionally used in aerospace innovation and applied for the first time in performance footwear. The ZoomX midsole in this shoe provides lightweight cushioning, offering exceptional comfort and protection for your feet. The foam construction also delivers impressive energy return, providing the propulsion that you need from a racing shoe. Alongside the ZoomX midsole are two visible Air Zoom units in the forefoot, which provide more energy return. A full-length carbon plate is also integrated into the shoe, delivering a snappy sensation with each stride. The carbon plate has been made slightly wider than previous versions to provide increased stability, helping you smoothly transition through every stride and tackle turns with confidence.
Designed using data gathered from hundreds of runners, the outsole of the Alphafly Next% 3 provides you with a great deal of traction. The soles use various angles of traction in areas where it's needed most, therefore providing grip from toe-off through to every phase of your stride. The durable rubber ensures a strong grip and protects itself from damage, and users from losing control and slipping.
