The Streakfly 2 can help you out-kick the opposition on race day. This bold and bright speedster now comes with a carbon fiber Flyplate, complementing the ultra-responsive ZoomX foam midsole and minimal upper you loved on the original. From the 10K to the mile, it can help you take your distances to the next level.
Providing enhanced breathability and comfort, the upper of the Streakfly 2 promotes in-shoe freshness for the entirety of your run. Perforations within the upper allow for air to circulate effectively around the foot, allowing for heat to escape out and make room for cooling freshness. The material also protects the foot from possible snags and reduces the possibility of distractions when covering ground at high speeds. This minimal upper has been kept simple for maximised weightlessness for optimal performance. The lacing system has also been redesigned to now hold slight elasticity to help finely tune the fit for a super snug and locked down midfoot for reduced in-shoe slippage on the go.
Returning in the 2nd version of the Streakfly, a ZoomX compound delivers feet with a standard-setting combination of flexibility and durability. ZoomX is Nike's lightest, most responsive, and resilient foam, providing feet with exceptionally lightweight yet high-energy return with every stride for a bouncy, soft, and comfortable race-running experience. Helping to prevent injury, the midsole effectively absorbs impact as you smack down on unforgiving surfaces, diminishing shock before it reaches your feet and in turn protecting your joints in the long run. Within the foam lays a full length carbon fibre FlyPlate, this further enhances responsivity within your strides due to its snappy and propulsive feel, providing unmatched momentum, pushing you forward and improving your performance. With a new aggressive shape, the shoes have a rocker geometry that naturally puts you on your forefoot, pushing you forward for maximised speed and propulsion.
For outstanding grip, durability and traction on a range of road racing and running surfaces, the Streakfly 2 features a durable, sticky, webbed rubber outsole to keep you secure with the ground below. Strategically placed across the forefoot and some rearfoot areas, the rubber compound supplies a strong grip and protects the shoes from damage and users from losing control and slipping. The shoes have an upgraded outsole with rubber, providing precise traction and keeping you stable during tough miles.
