Knit Upper
For refreshing cooling, the upper of the Mind 002 shoes is built to enhance airflow. Engineered perforations throughout boost overall breathability, maintaining a fresh and ready feeling to give you the best chance at performing your best. Moulded foam has been added to both the heel and tongue, promoting snug comfort when in wear to cushion the foot; the same perforations have been added to the tongue to further enhance airflow. On the heel is a pull tab, assisting you in easily slipping into the shoe, while a traditional lacing system has been utilised to lock the midfoot into place for assured effects of the node technology.
Foam Injected Unitsole and Foam Nodes
A Foam Injection Unitsole can be found in the midsole, providing robust, comfortable cushioning to keep you psyched. Sitting atop the midsole is a stretchy fabric footbed to optimise the sensory feel of the outsole nodes below. The Mind 002 features 22 large, individually articulated nodes that are evenly distributed along the bottom. Nike's Mind Science Department has cleverly developed the nodes to move up and down against the base of the foot, which has been scientifically shown to activate sensory areas of the brain. Also featured on the outsole are rubber pods on the heel and forefoot to ensure durable traction while on the move.
