Bio-Dyneema One-Piece Woven Upper

The 001 will allow you to tackle those tricky trails, and thanks to the bio-based Dyneema woven uppers, they will provide you with the confidence that your shoes will get you to the finish. Bio-Dyneema is a super-durable material, exclusively manufactured by Avient, with an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethene and is the strongest of any thermoplastic. This particular Stealth Black version of the 001 features the world's first and only bio-based black Dyneema. The first of its kind, this Bio-Dyneema design is up to 15 times stronger than steel, yet still floats in water. This unique compound, therefore, protects feet in changing environments, preventing damage from bumps, scrapes and scratches on trail running endeavours. The lightweight 001 has a seamless structure that allows you to slip your foot in and go without feeling discomfort or irritation during excessive movement. Preventing overheating, the breathable structure allows constant fresh air to circulate through the shoes, reducing discomfort when temperatures rise. Quick-drying properties also reduce the build-up of sweat or moisture, keeping feet dry and cool. Diamond-designed norda laces are constructed with Dyneema to enhance abrasive resistance, add stretch and are 4 times as strong as standard lacing. Working in tandem to lock down the midfoot, the norda fit-lock system uses proprietary interior foot-binding technology which engages through the laces and holds your foot in place. The ultra-light, fully gusseted norda designed tongue protects your foot from dirt and debris entering and helps to hold your foot in place. To provide extensive visibility when you need it most, the shoes feature a high-vis counter and pull tab, alongside reflective tape bonded to the uppers to keep you seen in low light.

norda x Vibram SLE Midsole

Ensuring lightweight comfort, so you can stride across treacherous trails and up tricky hill climbs, the 001 utilises norda's midsole collaboration with Vibram, the SLE compound for soft, cushioned wearing. SLE is Vibram's lightest, most resilient compound, providing high-performance standards for non-stop wearable comfort and distraction-free experiences. The soft, cushioned compound provides shock-absorbing properties to help reduce the risks of injury when tackling changing terrains. Working with this, the custom-designed eTPU insole provides optimum energy absorption and excellent return to propel you into your next stride.

norda x Vibram Outsole

An exclusive norda x Vibram design features on the 001 outsole, a Formation sole that uses a combination of Litebase and Megagrip rubber technology. To preserve energy while keeping you stable and secure, the Litebase compound reduces the overall weight of the shoes by 30% by maintaining a lower thickness, yet still ensuring excellent grip, traction, and durability. The Megagrip sole is a high-performing rubber compound that further assists in keeping feet stable on the constantly changing ground below and keeping you confident when things become tough. The sole provides a solid grip in muddy, wet or slippery conditions, as well as on dry trails. The shoes have outstanding durability, so you can rely on them for the long run. Adorning the outsole are strategically placed 5mm lugs that dig deep into the ground below.
