Mesh Upper

The mesh upper used on the Newton Kismet 5 Women's Running Shoe is an open-weave mesh which has a no-sew overlay. This maximises conformity to the foot, meaning that it moulds to it, making it feel personalised and comfortable. The material is also lightweight and highly breathable. Allowing of a steady airflow in and out of the shoe, the feet are kept ventilated and cool. Up the foot laces and a padded tongue make finding the right fit easy and whilst it doesn't compromise comfort. The toes are protected by a thicker material, guarding against bumps and knocks to the front of the foot. The heel is also guarded against damage by having a sturdy shield. This stops it from slipping out of place, which could cause an injury. A performance lace and tongue system will allow you to find a supremely comfortable and secure fit easily without any fuss.

Newtonium Foam Midsole

Providing cushioning all the way down the foot, the Newtonium Foam midsole provides the foot with extremely soft and gentle cushioning. A technology developed and tested by Newton, the foam is their most responsive and reactive one yet, which sits closer to the foot. The cushioning is also targeted, with thicker parts covering certain areas. The firm midsole which, and in particular the firmest part stretches to the forefoot, guarding against late stage pronation. Newton use their extended medial bridge in this shoe. This is a small piece of extra midsole which is placed under the arch of the foot. This provides extra surface area for athletes with flatter feet or some degree of pronation that need some extra support. Directly underneath the foot, the shoe uses a soft sockliner. In time, this moulds and remembers the foot's shape, making it extremely comfortable.

Durable Outsole

For the outsole of the shoe, it uses Newton's P.O.P technology. This is an acronym for Power of Point, which is a patented design which increases the shoes' grip and traction through the shape of the lugs on the bottom. They make sudden accelerations, sharp braking and pushing around corners feel easy and controlled. In addition to this, the rubber is an extremely durable and tough one, able to withstand abuse from uneven and rough surfaces.
