The Newton Distance 9 running shoe is built for speed. Engineered with an ultra lightweight, ultra-breathable mesh upper the Distance 9 will have you clocking up the miles and hitting new records without feeling the heat. As cool air permeates the mesh, any uncomfortable heat build-up is removed creating a regulated temperature and a healthy environment that feet can thrive in. The new minimalistic overlays offer support without adding unnecessary bulk or weight and work in tandem with a traditional lace closure for a secure, locked down fit. The no-sew toe cap eliminates discomfort from chaffing and rubbing for a distraction-free ride.
Featuring a full foot Newtonium cushioned midsole, cushioned lugs in the forefoot and heel provide full-foot cushioned protection, attenuating shock impact where you strike down the most alleviating stress on the joints and reducing fatigue. Working in tandem with the Newtonium cushioned midsole is the action/reaction technology providing exceptional energy return. Generated by the active movement of the cushioned lugs, the active/reactive technology creates a trampoline-like effect responding to your every step with quicker bounce-back for effective and highly responsive energy return. Featuring a lower heel to toe drop the Distance 9 running shoe provides a more natural running position encouraging a natural gait cycle for a smooth ride.
The Distance 9 shoes SHARC Outsole consists of a high abrasion and high-density rubber providing increased and enhanced floor fighting traction in both dry and wet conditions.
