B-DRY Upper
The upper of the Oboz Bridger Bdry 8" Insulated Walking Shoes is constructed with waterproof nubuck leather which ensures comfort and fantastic durability. Developed with B-DRY the shoes are kept dry through creeks, mud, rain and sweat, thanks to the three key components, firstly the crux which is Oboz's proprietary tape-sealed polyurethane film bootie, which waterproofs shoes but still lets sweat escape. Secondly, all of Oboz's B-DRY shoes come with hydrophobic upper materials, meaning the rest of the show won't absorb water, and finally, the textile lining inside B-DRY boots wicks sweat away, so feet stay dry from the inside out. For added warmth and comfort during the cold winter months, the Oboz Bridger is equipped with 200 gram 3M Thinsulate insulation which is warm, yet lightweight, powerful yet thin. It helps trap body heat while allowing moisture to escape. Lastly, the upper is fitted with a moulded rubber toe cap and heel kick which provides protection from loose debris and rocks on loose terrain.
TPU Chassis Midsole
Fitted with a dual density EVA midsole, it will ensure the wearer with ultimate cushioning, providing comfort while on a long walk. Additionally, Oboz's TPU Chassis provides featherweight, effective armour underfoot, reducing stone bruising and torsional twist. The midsole also features a nylon shank which is extremely supportive, lightweight and flexible so you'll be able to move more easily with these in place. They give just enough bend to create a more natural movement in your feet, and there's plenty of support to help ease some stress in your arches.
Granite Peak Outsole
The quintessential hiking outsole, featuring a nylon shank for stability, toothy side lugs that hug off-chamber trails, and 4mm directional lugs studding the sole. This cold-weather-specific outsole features winter rubber which will provide maximum traction.
