Engineered Woven Upper
The upper of the Cloudmonster Hyper has been created with a microfibre material, made from 85% recycled content for increased breathability. The lightweight upper allows air to circulate for a cooling sensation when moving whilst simultaneously removing built-up heat, leaving you comfortable as you put the miles in. The upper is soft against the skin to reduce any irritation, the materials also work to wick sweat meaning moisture and is effectively removed from the surface of your skin, providing you with a quick-drying sensation. Through the heel and midfoot, the shoes use a thicker material to provide added structure and support to the shoe and your foot as you run. Increasing comfort, the shoes have a padded heel collar that provides a secure fit whilst a thin but padded tongue with a grippy underside, reducing movement and improving the fit and feel of the shoes. The tongue has a gusseted design that stops debris from entering the shoe reducing irritation. A traditional lacing system has been included to lock down the midfoot and reduce in-shoe slippage for a distraction-free ride. The ends of the laces feature silicone inserts increasing grip and reducing time spent tying your lace. Finishing the shoe upper is a large reflective On Logo, providing visibility in low light conditions.

On has used their new Pebax superfoam for the midsole of the Cloudmonster Hyper. Making every step effortless, Helion HF Pebax superfoam provides exceptional levels of energy return for comfortable, confident strides working to cushion every step for a responsive, soft landing. Combined with Cloudtec, Helion HF shoes provide pacy training sessions without feeling the impact on your legs the next day, keeping you feeling fresh and ready for your next session. A dual foam midsole maximises cushioning, whilst Helion HF in the forefoot absorbs impact for a rebound that will energise every stride. This increases energy return and dampens shocks, reducing fatigue and lowering the risk of injury.

The horizontal deformation of the Clouds as you run does more than absorb impact, reduce braking force and propel you forward. It also helps prevent injury so you can run pain-free.
The shoes use a rocker-shaped geometry to provide superior propulsion and more explosive take-offs during every stride assisting you when hitting those PBs. Finally, to provide an outstanding level of grip and traction on varying surfaces, the shoes have thin, rubber pads placed in key impact areas underfoot and in the heel. A larger forefoot pad will provide you with more surface area for improved traction during the toe-off, therefore enhancing your grip when traversing across different road conditions.
