LightSpray offers a seamless and responsive second-skin fit. Using a single 1.5km filament spun by a robot to create a mesh-like upper, highly breathable and elastic, there is no need for laces, creating distraction-free wear. And, at just 30g, it's the lightest upper On has ever made. Creating the upper in a single piece not only creates a seamless, distraction-free fit - it also minimises waste, eliminates the need for glues and emits 75% less CO₂ than other premium uppers. This means it is ultra-light and minimal, so you get that barely-there feel that keeps you focused on the road ahead.
Dual-Layered Helion Midsole and Rubber Outsole
Featuring two layers of On's Helion foam, the midsole of the Cloudmonster 3 Hyper keeps you wrapped in plush underfoot comfort. Ensuring outstanding energy return, Helion HF resides in the top layer, helping you experience a propulsive toe-off with every step, while keeping feet soft and fresh, providing comfortable landings. When covering hard and unforgiving surfaces, shock is absorbed, dissipating impact and protecting your joints and feet from injury. Absorbed shock is released in the following stride as a rebound, giving you a needed boost. The bottom layer of the midsole uses regular Helion foam, which adds stability and durability to your step, ensuring the shoes stay bouncy and soft underfoot. On has also utilised their CloudTec Phase cushioning technology, enhancing smoother transitions through the gait cycle and perfect toe-offs. This is complemented by the enhanced rocker geometry, with a new curve to help smooth heel-to-toe transitions.
