A warm, breathable companion, the R1 Ultralight Hoody is a technical fleece and a big-wall essential for pro athletes and dedicated climbers. It is part of the Free Wall Kit. Designed to meet the demands of ambassadors' evolving tactics for modern rock climbing objectives, it's made for sustained, difficult multipitch routes where even the smallest rest recovers just enough energy for the send.
Constructed from a lofty, breathable weave fabric, the hooded fleece top provides you with unparalleled next-to-skin comfort and a smooth outer for abrasive-resistant durability and long-lasting reliability. This super soft, comfortable fabric prevents irritation and sits comfortably against your skin for confident, distraction-free climbing sessions. The top has a form-fitting design for mobility and easy layering under a harness and jackets. This lightweight garment is part of Patagonia's Free Wall Kit to provide you with free mobility on the send and options to recover on the route. For convenience during difficult climbs, the fleece features a deep centre-front zip which dumps heat effectively, whilst also ensuring you have enough space to take off when you have stiff shoulders or if you're wearing a helmet. Integrated is a helmet-compatible hood which fits comfortably under a helmet for a boost of warmth and added protection. The raglan seams provide comfort under a pack, and underarm gussets for shoulder mobility, particularly when reaching overhead. The low-profile cuffs provide full wrist coverage, and the clean finished hem is long enough to tuck under a harness, both of which help prevent windchill affecting your journey. The R1 Ultralight Fleece Hoody features two vertical zipped chest pockets, so you can bring your essentials.
