Petzl Meteor Helmet

Designed for climbing, mountaineering and ski touring, the METEOR helmet is lightweight and low profile, with excellent ventilation, making it comfortable for both summer and winter.

Designed to be lightweight and low in profile, the Petzl Meteor Helmet ensures comfort and protection for a wide range of sports. The helmet features an In-Mold construction with an expanded foam liner injected inside a lightweight polycarbonate shell polystyrene which works to absorb impacts by deformation and stop sharp objects before they come in contact with you. It has also been designed using Petzl's top and side protection label which uses both Petzl standard and enhanced protection levels. Petzl's standard protection keeps you safe from objects falling from above whilst Petzl's enhanced protection protects against side, front and rear impacts. The top and side protection ensures no matter where an impact hits you'll always be protected so you can climb, mountaineer or ski with complete confidence. Additionally, the Meteor features large vents which offer optimal ventilation on both ascents and descents. The vents allow air to flow in and out of the helmet to ensure you remain cool and comfortable on hot and humid days.

The Meteor is the first CE-certified ski touring helmet and as a result, some of its features have been specially designed for this sport. The front of the helmet has been designed for the integration of ski goggle so you can keep your face and head protected at the same time plus, a rear elastic band is also compatible with ski goggle headbands. A semi-rigid headband can be adjusted easily even with gloves on so you won't have to expose your gloves to the cold when you need to adjust. A well as this, two clips in the front feature a rear elastic band which can be used to secure a headlamp to the helmet so, when the darkness closes in you'll always be prepared. The helmet also features multiple points of adjustability so you can find the right fit. Lastly, the Petzl Meteor Helmet is also compatible with Petzl Vizion and Skreen eye shields.
