Puma elevates the essential distance spike category with the debut of the evoSPEED Long Distance. Perfect all-round distance spike for distances from 800m to 5K, 10K and Steeple chase.
Breathable Textile Upper
Featuring an ultra-breathable upper, the evoSPEED Long Distance Spikes provide you with fresh energy from beginning to end. The lightweight structure allows air to flow through it thanks to perforations in the fabric, these create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. Infused with lightweight, supportive and breathable carbon fibre threads increasing the durability of the upper. Providing lightweight support the spikes feature Formstrip technology on the lateral side, this adds structure to the shoe whilst reducing movement within, so that you can enjoy smooth, distraction-free strides. An internal bonded PU skin support structure has been utilised to ensure in-shoe comfort, making these more suitable for barefoot wear.
EVA Midsole
Utilising a full length EVA Foam midsole, the evoSPEED for long lasting responsive cushioning. The foam soaks up impact as you strike down over the hard ground, before releasing within your following strides, adding propulsive energy to your run. The foam absorbs shock and effectively protects your feet and joints from possible injury. A Strobel board has been added to provide extra lining underfoot, providing added flexibility. Atop the midsole is an EVA Sockliner for extra cushioning to promote a cushioned ride over uneven terrains.
6 Pin PEBAX Plate
A full length Pebax Plate is exposed in the forefoot to provide extra grip over various terrains, the 6 sharp pin design offers long lasting grip and propulsion. The spikes work effectively, helping you bite down into both wet and dry surfaces as you build speed and confidence in strong footing. With spikes being primarily focused in the forefoot area of the outsole, to maximise propulsion and traction. The plate itself offers a snappy and responsive ride, working alongside the midsole to promote more bounce in your run. Promoting better toe-offs and clean guidance through a stable stride, the plate is also highly durable, helping to protect the base of your foot from possible injury as you cover rocky or wooded ground.
